Origami is a wonderful hobby which can be practiced by anyone
from 6 to 106.
It improves patience, motor skills and spatial visualisation.
It is one of the least expensive of artforms - all you really
need is a sheet of paper!
Models range from the super simple to the super complex, and even many of the simple ones exhibit great beauty.
The origami community is small & friendly and you'll find most people are happy to teach what they know.
We get together to show off what we've made, get help when we're stuck on a model somebody else has folded, teach new people, and incidentally have a good time in the company of good friends.
There are far worse ways to spend a Saturday afternoon than getting educated in the paper-folding art of many cultures.
